Personal Mrs. W. Herbert, of Mill Road, has returned fr,om a holiday trip to Wairakei. Rev. P. Temuera, of Otaki, was a weekend visitor to Feilding _ to attend the Maori Bible Revision Committee's conference. Mrs. Lowry, of Otaki, has been called to Wellington on account of the illness of her daughter, Mrs. M. McKinnon. Mr. and Mrs. V. Bertlesen and family, of Otaki Rai'iway, have returned from a holiday trip to Rotorua. Nurse B. Jacobs, of the Wanganui Hospital staff, has been spending part of her annual leave with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Jacobs, Tasman Beach, Otaki. The death occurred at Lower Hutt Hospital on September 6 of Mrs. R. A. Dixon, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. T. Hansen and sister of Doris and Wilfred, of Hautere Crpss. Show Entries A remmder "is given that entries for the spring flower show close at 5 p.m. on Thursday. • The show is to be held at the Raukawa Hall on Friday from 1.30 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Pension Payments Pensions for the month of September will be paid as follows: i Family benefit 9th, aae benefit 21st, widows and invalids 22nd, , ■war 23rd, war veterans 30th and Universal superannuation 30th. Rangiatea Restoration Work The Rev. Paora •remuera, priest in charge of Rangiatea, informed a meeting of tribal representatives at Aorangi, near Feilding, at the weekend, that the work of restoring the Rangiatea Church will begin about September 9. iBundles of kakaho for the tukutuku work had already arrived from the East Coast, from where two women experts wil'l come to supervise the work. Sir Apirana Ngata is expected to visit the j church early this month.
