LONDON, Sept. 5. Southland 's attacking bomber force, by a feint, "diddled" Northland 's protective eover and subjected London to a punishing saturation raid early this morning. * It was the third day of mock warfare of "Operation Dagger." Southland 's bombers, by skilful radio techniqne,- made their small attacking force coming in from the nortlreast appear to radar observers 'to be a large one. The bulk of Northland 's figliters were consequently diverted to deal with this group, but the main Southland attacking force from a southerly direetion continued on its course, scarceiy worried at all by figliters, and was able to reach London and "bomb" the eapital at leisure. ■
