Guidance Booklet For Newly-weds
Received Monday, 7 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 6. All couples in New South Wales who intend to marry will receive a marriage guidance booklet from the State Government. The . RegistrarGeneral, Mr. T. Wells, said today that all district registrars would issue the booklet to couples contemplating civil marriage. Distributioh hy ministers for church weddings would he optional hut #1 denominations had an approved booklet. The first 10,000 copies would he ready for distribution next week. The booklet contains an explanation of marriage as "a union dissolved only hy death," advice against deliberate abstention from having children, and suggestions to both parties for medical examinations before marriage.
