Levin To Buy Bunting For Visit Of Royalty
The* approach of the Royal visit to New Zealand was bringing forth a Dominion-wide demand for bunting, and he thought Levin should "get in early" an'd order some, too. said the Mayor, Mr. H. B. Burdekin, at the fortnightly meeting of the Levin Borough Council last night. He would' discuss Levin's decoration with the architect for. the Regent Theatre, Mr. Drake, as fortunately he was the man appointed by the Government to advise -on the scheme of 'decorations for the tour. Nothing was known yet about bhe route to be taken ' from Palmerston North to Wellington by the Royal party, added Mr. Burdekin, but Levin and Otaki had, he believed, both been mentioned By the BBC recently as towns through which Their Majesties woul'd pass. ,
