Presbyterian Ladies' Guild
The usual montlily meeting of the Presbyterian Ladies'; Guild. was hel'd in the ehurch, when Mrs. J. W/ Martin presided over a good attendance. Mrs. Martin opened the proceedings with prayer and a Bible reading. - An invitation" was reeeived and gladly accepted, from the Anglican Guild to be guests at its next meeting. The president stated that there would be a short meeting of the Presbyterian ■ ladies in the church at 2 p.m. on that afternoon. The date for the annual sale of work was set down for November 19 and it was agreed that the sale be held. in Laurvig's Hall. During the afternoon, Mrs. Martih read the opening chapters of "My Yesterdays" by Miss Sutherland, the veteran Indian missionary. Good wishes were expressed to Mrs. Martin for her sojourn in hospital antl a spee'dy recovery to her former health was the hope of all present. The meeting closed with prayers, after which an.enjoyable afternoon tea was served. It was announced that future meetings would be held on the first Wednesday of each month.
