Levin's Help in Children's Appeal Appreciated

I The Mayor of Levin, Mr.. H. B. Burdekin, has received a letter from the ehairman of the New Zealand Dominion e^ecutive committee of the ■ Unite'd Nations Appeal for Children, Mr. Chas. S. Falconer, expressing appreciation for the assistance given to the appeal by the public and various committees in Levin. "At the last meeting of the Dominion executive in Wellington, reference was made to the very valuable kind assistance' and direction you gave to the United Nations Appeal for Children," sai'd the letter. "As ehairman, I was requested by my executive's resolution to extend to you on their behalf their sincere appreciation of your co-operation and contributiom of personal effort, which has enatoled this " appeal to be such an outstanding success. "In expressing this apprecia-, tion, :r.ay I ask you to please accept my own 'personal best wishes and thanks for all you h^,ve done. My centra-1 organisation has expresse-d its desire to be qssociated with the views of the Dominion- executive in fcfcs matfcer." In conclusion, Mr. Falconer said, "Would you' k.indly extend' 'to 70ur various committees and to those public-spirited- citizens who assisted, athe sincere appreciation Df the patrons and the New Zea.hnd executive for all they have ione."
