ADCIvLAND, August 30. rntensided measures to prevent the spread nf tuberculosis among nurses, were adopted by the Auckland Ilospitai Doard tonight. Acting on recommendffc tions from its senior oiiicers, the Boardt decided that all Alaori patieuts admitted to the four ruain hospitals, should' have a routine cliest X-rav examination as soon as practieable. It was also agreed that wlienever j possible/'all niedical cases admittod to the hospitals should have a similar examination. It was stated in the report that the total aduiissions to hospitals were in tlie vieinity of 22,000 a year and it was estimated that ATaori admissions would not nunibc-r more than 2000 a year.
