DEATH FOLLOWS ACCIDENT
AUCKLAND, August 30. An employee of Pan-American Airways who suffered serious head injuries when a jeep he was driving was' involved in an aecident at Canton Island on .Tulv 7, diad in the Auckland Hospital yesterday. He was: James Frederick Ilarold Bullock, aged 31, son of Mrs. B. C. Bullock, Manurewa, Auckland. Mr. Bullock was employed at Canton Island as engineer in charge of the plant for distilling drinking water from the sea. The day after the aecident he was flown to Queen's Hospital, Ilonolulu. His condition improvef.l sufficientlv to be brouglit to the Auckland Hospital by Pan-American clipper inidAugust. Altliough he was unconscious on arrival, he had suffered no ill effects from the air'journey.
