These giris deserve praise for the endeavours made to keep their team together in the faee of the expense of travelling to Levin each week. The closest game of the day was that between Old; Girls A and St. Jor.eph's, who won. by a margin of •one .goal. Both teams piayed hard, fast '.basketball and right up to the call of time it would h§,ve been impossible to forecast the winner. Coilege B piayed a good game against Tui A. Both these teams tumed in excellent basketball. The game was free- from infringements, not perhaps as fast as the Old Girls — St. Joseph's match, but markjed by clean passing, neat footwork and olever interception. ► T
