Personal At the meeting of the Shannon R.S.A. held on Saturday evening, the secretary, Mr. E. J. Gunning, reported that 45 additional food parcels had been dispatched for Britain recehtly. This makes the total number of parcels sent since the scheme was commenced 237 for an expenditure of £178 2s. This is an excellent effort on the part of the local branch. . Posers, Penalties and Profits Arrangements are well in handi by the entertainment committee ofj the R.S.A. for the staging of a ' posers, penalties and profits quiz at Shannon. Many excellent prizes have been offered and Mr. Ia Wat-, kins, well-known radio announceri and quiz master. of Palmerston J North, has kindly accepted the invi-j tation to return to his ol'd .home town to conduct the function. R.S.A. To Assist J Force 1 At the monthly meeting of the Shannon R.S.A. held last Saturday evening a recommendation was made by Mr. F. O. Burtt that a welcome home be extended to members of J-Force when they had all returned and that they be offered the help of the branch in starting an organisation of their own. The recommendation received the support of the meeting and a motion to that effect was carried.
