Renewed Fighting In Palestine
Received Alonday, 10.30 p.m. LONDON, August 16. The Associated Press Amman correspondent with the Arab Legion says the Jews renewed attaeks on the Arab front. line in New and Old Jerusalem early this morning from Nomansland. The Jews -lost heavily. Dn-ited Nations observers found three •Tewish bodies in Arab positions in the Babehvad area along the JerusalemTel Aviv highway, al'ter a heavv Jewisli attack on an Arab Leg'ion outpost, says Reuter's Amman correspondent. The observers were investigating a truce violation. Arab Legion sotirces said the Jews intended to occupy Deir Ayub village between Babehvad and Latrun but the attack was repulsed. The last batch of Jewish immigrants above military age will leave Cvprus today, leaving behind 12,000 younger rnen and women whom Britain is holrling tliere until a fullcr settlement of the Palestine truce.
