SIXGAPORE, August 12. Snceessful ground and aid operations against the terrorists continued througliout Mai ava today. Gurkha and Malay soidiers are tracking down nearly l(ii)i) Uhinese rebels and their familics, following a sweep through the Pulai Vallev, in Kelantan, in which Pulai town was destroyed. During the operation the security forces arrested the Chinese head.man of Pulai, Tong Kyng Nyen, who.won ihe British Empire Medal for his courage and loyalty as an anti-Japan-«'e guerrilla during the occupation. It j-. alleged tliat lie was with the bandits during the recent attaek on Guti Musang. Ro.-kets and cannon-fire were emt.loyed by the R.A.F. today 011 an "impnrtant insurgent headquarters " a few niiles south of the Sianiese border vith Norlh Kelantan. Tliree welicnjist ructed buildings were destroyed.
