Guild Social Afternoon
The members of the Methodist, Anglican and Presbyterian Ladies; Guilds. helid a social af ternoon last week,* when the Presbyterian ladies were the hostesses for the "forrpe'r two guilds. The Parish llall was the ren'dezvous for the gathgring, when scattered oceasional tahles with' bawls of spring flowers and the. informk'l arranging of seats allowed. •for thd intermingiing of the 40 ladies present. A prayer and Bible .reading. was 1 given by Rev. J. W. Martin, who oh behalf of the. hostess guild, welcom-' e'd the other guild members^ . ' Novel and varipd competitions were held, calling for individual and team effort, the winners being the -recipients of small gifts. Afternoon tea was enjoyed an-d before; .dispersing, Mrs. W. Tricker, president of the Anglican Guild, on behalf of the gues.ts, thanked the members of the Presbyterian Guild for their hospitality. ; Arrangements are being made to ; hol'd a shop day in Mrs. E. L. Hyde'6 ishop, Ballance Street, tomorrow. It ! wiil be conducted by members of the Anglican Ladies' Guild.
