5 The Horowhenua representative | rugby player, Gordon Sciascia, has | been asked to join the Maori All i Black team, which has arrived ! back in Auckland after its Fijian \ tour. a II e left this week for Auckland j on instruetions from the New Zea9 land- Rugby Union, conveyed | through the Horowhenua Rugby | Union. As he was to have played 1 in the Horowhenua first fifteen at I Palmerston North on Saturday, his I departure has left a difficult gap to 1 fill. However, the selectors have | chosen W. Galloway to take over £ his position at first five-eighths, | While D. Federson replaces Gallo- | way at full-back. I Sciascia will probably be playing j in.the match against Auckland to- ! day and Whangarei on Saturday. £ At last night's meeting of the s management committee pleasure | was expressed that a local player | had been selected for the Maori | team.
