A CHURCHILL DOUBLE.
Mr. Max Milder, head of Warner Brotliers' orgauisation^in Britain, who died this week, was often mistaken for Mr. Winston Churchill. "Like JtLr. Churchill, he was an inveterate cigar Bmoker, and the physical likeness between the two men was so striking that when Mr. Milder appeared in Leicester Square one day he was loudiy cheered by a crowd in the belief that he was the Prime Minister. Mr. Milder had a great admiration for Mr Churchill and during the vvar planned to make a lilm of Mr. Churchill 's lif e. - Two years were apent in iireparing the script, and Mr. Milder even discussed with Mr. Churchill tlie possibility of the latter making a personal appearance in the film. However, the war made it impossible to obtain eariy sequences of Mr. Churchill 's career in India and South Africa and later ill health caused Mr. Milder to drop the idea.
