One man was killed and two others were seriously injured when the lorry,. of which they were the oceupants, left Rosina Eoad, Tangimoana, turned completely over and came to rest 'on its vyheels at 4 p.m. oi; Saturday. Both mien wero employed by Mr. Bert Climo, of Tangimoana. ' - 1 ' •• • - It is understood deceased was 1 proceeding to visit his parents at Tangi moana Beach when the aecident occurred. It appears the .lorry veered on to a grass strip on the right hand side of the road and then swerved baek to the road, turning completely over as it did so. . It came to rest on its wheels facing across the road. The injured men were transferred by a-mbulance to the Palmerston North Hospital. At a late hour last night tliejr condition was un changed. An inquest iuto the death of Eric Rive was opened before the Coroner (Mr. C. L. Mowlem) at Palmerston North yesterday and was adjourned sine die following evidence of identiiication.
