WANGANUI, August 6. The Wanganui crutehing sale was held today witli a full and representative bench of * buyers i'n attendance. The offering; eomprised 5300 bales of. crutchings and 15,700 bales of Joint Oganisation stoek wool. Crutchings from areas ■ that experienced the ■drough were shorter in length and dustier than usual, but those from districts that had a more favourable season were generally light in eondition and of good bulk. Good crutchings were fully "firm on Wellington but average and inferiox lines met with restsicted ' eompetition. The range of prices was: Crossbred crutchings, good to- super 25.d to- 30:)d,, average 22d to 24^d, inferior and seedy 14d to 18Jdf carbonising 7d to 12d.
