District Competition Enters Second Round

4 - The Horowhenua Badminton Association's A grade competition has now entered its secpnd round, the first series of games having been played during the past week. The Koputaroa .Club's No. 2 team has withdrawn from the competition and in consequence clubs set down for games against this team will now have a bye. Ohau and Levin Draw^ Levin, after being ' convincingly defeated by Ohau in the first round, held them to a draw when these two clubs met in their secohdround match. Each club secured 12 games and successes were evenly distributed among the men an'd lady members of both teams. Manakau Beat Koputaroa Manakau proved far too strong for Koputaroa, beating them by 21 games to three. Ali the ladies' singles, ladies' doubles and combined -doubles were won by Manakau.
