HAAIILTON, August -4. Althougli botli teams clearly showed the effeets of not playing tggether before, partieularly in the first spell, the opening mateh 'of the Australian soecer tourists against an Auckland provineial team at Hamilton today, pro.ved that the visitors should enjoy a suecessful toui;. They won Ihe game in which there were many -bright -flashes, by 6 goals to 0. • The outfstanding player oir the iield was C. Drummond, left full back and captain of the ' visitors, who played a magni flcent game. Time after time by well-placed powerful kicks, "he turneu defence into attack. Even when bustled Drummond 's clearing kicks were always directed to oue of liis forwards who carried the clearing kick straight into 'an attack. The speed of the visitors and excellent positional play were other faetors that gave the home team little chance. Cunningham and Huglies were two of the visiting forwards who impressed with clever footwork. The centre half, Wilson, dominated the centre of the field and he and Gibb repeatedly kept their forwards wejl supplied with the ball.
