German crowds lined up agalnst the police when they manhandled a passerby and dragged nim to Soviet headquarters. A Russian-controlled paper says' that the.passersby went to the aid of the blackmarketeer and threw stones at the Soviet police. injuring an officer. The ^Wesfern-appointed Berlin police chief sent a telegram to the Russian-appointed police chief demanding the immediate release of four German police, including a police woman, arrested by the ooviet police."
