.In his anhual feport, Mr. Jack stated that the association had held its fpil strerigth of teams during ths seasbn, and although one Foxto'n team had withdrawn, Otaki had fdrmed a. new team. Levin had maintained its quota of three seniqr and one junior team, and an eff ort would be made in the new seasbn to revive ipterest in Foxton and bring the Foxton quqta up to three. tedriis. The infantile paralysis , epidemic had prevehtfed tne hbiding of contests in Foxton, Shannpn and Otaki as well- as Levih, biit it.ivas hoped that this would be iidssible next season. Election of Officers The following officers wero elected for the year: — Patron: Mayor of Foxton; vice-patrons: Mayors of Otaki, Shannon and Levin; president: Mr. W. R. Jack; vice-presi-dents: Messrs. W. Cribb, J. O'Connor, I. S. Patterson, J. Perigo and P. Whiteman; secretarytreasurer: Mr. A. L. Dobson; official coach: Mr. J. R. Macfariane; executive: Messrs. W. Shilton, F;,G. Carrington, D. Convery,L. A. Humphrey, L. Spicer, Foxton, Shannon and Otaki representatives, and the elected officers. General Business Remits to come before the parent body in Wellington at its annual meeting were discussed, and it was decided that the association support most vigorousiy the Manawatu Centre's remit dealing with costume judging. Mr. Kingi, who is responsible for the forming of the Kotahitanga team, was present at the meeting and thanked the association for the help extended to his team, and congratulated the officials on the interest they evinced in all teams. He appealed for assistance in obtaining a coach for the team in the coming season. "They wish to excel at the sport," coneluded Mr. Kingi, "and are willing to help the association in any of its activities." Mr. Jack assured Mr. Kingi that the team would not be without an instructor for the coming season. The president paid tribute to the work of the honorary auditor, Mr. J. A. Goodwin. His interest in all organisations for the advancement of the district was well-known, said Mr. Jack, and the association had been fortunate in having had Mr. Goodwin's support in all activities since its inception. The discussion of routine busines and final arrangements for the children's fancy dress ball and adults' dance, with the drawing of the association's art union, in the Regent Hall next Saturay, coneluded a successful meeting.
