Athletic Club Meets

> The Otaki Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club's committee met on Thursday night, when several matters were discussed. Mr. F. Edwards, who presided, invited members to express their opinions on the proposal to inaugurate a new road race for junior cyclists, from Otaki to Wellington. The suggestion met with ready support and it was agreed to send a deputation to wait on the centre, in Wellington, for the purpose of obtaining further necessary information. . Messrs. E. Cook, F. Edwards, O. Nilsson, T. Stevens and R". Taucher were appointed as the deputation, and they are to report on Thursday next, August 5. The new athletic monthly magazine was circulated among members, who expressed appreciation of the helpful information contained therein.
