HAWKE'S BAY AND WAIRARAPA DRAW
CARTERTON, August 1. Plashing around in a sea of mud and with parts of the ground under water, Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa drew 3-0,11 in a senior Rugby representative mateh at Carterton on Saturday afternoon. Play was called off before the second spell was finished in view of lhe atrocious conditions which confined •flav to the forwards, "Both packs went well. ' M. Churchward, wing threequarters, scored for Hawke's Bay in the first spell and ICeitli Parker, captain of the Wairarapa side, gained Wairarapa 's in tlie second half try, -It was ilmost impossible during the game to distinguish the players who were smothered in mud. Of Wairarapa 's forwards, G. Henderson, W. Coupland and W. Waaka were outstanding, thriving under the conditions. B. Wishnowsky, Bay fullback, was sounif on. attack ahd lefence.
