The flrst postwar Parliamentarv con ference of Commonwealtli countries wil take place in London in Oetober and may be the largest gathering of it> kind in history, states the Dailv Tele graph. Eiglitv-seven members from 3" ' branelies of the Empire Parliamentan Association, have been invited and many acceptanees have been received It is expeeted that tlie Canadian delo gation will- be headed by the Speakci of the Canadian Parliament or a lead itig Cabinet AOnister. The Australian (lelegation will be headed by th. Ppeaker of the House of Reprcsenta tives and will inchule the Leader of th Count rv Partv, AL\ Fadden. Air. Men zies, Opposition Leader, is also expeeted. Air. Fraser, who is expeeted in Lon flon, may take part. The South Afriean (lelegation canno: be appointed until the new . Parliameir meets on August' 6. India, Pakistai and Ceylon will also gend (lelegations Delegates have been appointed from the Barbados, Jamaica, Trinidad, AVind ward Tslands, Kenya, Mauritius, North ern Ireland and thp Isle of Aran. Delegates will be entertained by tln King and Queen, Lord Chancellor and ihe Spcaker and by Ihe City of London during their visit.
