WELLINGTON, July 30. Afr. R. G. Gerard (Ashburton, Op- ' >osition) gave notice to ask the Prinie Minister if his attention liad been drawn to a published report that the Minister of Finance might shortly- take up an important post overseas. • Ar r. Gerard asked the Prime Minister to advise the House if this appointuent had been decided on," and if so would he state how soon the Minister jf Finance would again go overseas ind whether this appointment wouM ubviate the necessity for the proposed * visit to America of the Minister of yorks.
