The Minister referred the matter to the Department of Industries and Commerce, which, being quite out, of nursery squares at the moment, referred it in tuni to the lSfew Zealand Retailers' Federation. The federation passed the request on to its Palmerston North bi'anch Which made fruitless Inquiries among local "retailers. The oiitppme was that the branch had to advise tfie woman to makp do with'coloured winceyette as ls apparently the nprmal family praetiee in tl^ese days of shortage. ; -
