A request that the Mayor attend a general meeting of . the Levin Ratepayers' Association and glve an outline of the Playford Park Scheme was made by the association in a further letter. The letter ahded that the assocation's general meetings were held on the fourth Thursday of, each month, and requested that the Maybr intimate an early 'date so that the association could publicly advertise that the talk would be given. An invitation was alsp extended to councilxors to attend. • Commenting, the Mayor said that it was unlikely that a Thursday would suit. After further discussion it was decided that the association be advised that the Mayor would be pleased to outline 'the scheme, with the proyiso that the meeting be a public one and that invitations to attend be. sent to all the sports bodies whom the council thought would also be interested.
