' WELLINGTON, July 2.1. The Government is preparing legislation lo cover tlie preparation of a separate Alaori ro 11 whieh will be used for the 104!) General Elertion. Tliis faet- was meutioued in the Ilouse of Reprosentatives bv the Alinister of Alaori AlTairs, ' Mr. Fraser, this afternoon. Alr. Fraser was replying to a question from Alr. Harker (Hawke's Bay). He added that the preparation of the rolls was well in hand but if was not vet ]iossible to indieate the preeise date of conipletion. Alr. Fraser said the question oi Alaori voters having to registor compuisorily as eleetors would l>e considered wlien legislation was lieing prepared but it was apparent to him that rompulsory registration niust apply to tlie Alaori roll.
