At the opcning ceremony. Mr. W. J. Jqrdan recalled the Now- Zealanders \ associations) with the building and asked if tixe Government and people of the Doxninion might put up a plaque? ixi the library in commemoration. Thc olfer was iminediately aceepted by thc Mayor of Westminster. Before the wai and until takou over by the New Zealanders, the building was an Italiaxi cliib.
