TWO INJURED IN SPECTACULAR MISHAP
WELLINGTON, July "18. A spectacular accideut in which two people were badly hurt and many ofhers received minor cuts and bruises. occurred in the stream of traffic return i ng to W ellington after tlie Trentham races on Waturday, just south of ' tlu Heretaunga Post Office. Six cars and bus crashed, one into tlie rear of thc other. The bus was at the tail of thc string and the two people uiost senoushLnjured were passengers in tlie car inimediately iiffront of it. They were: — Alexander Wliite, of Btanden Btreet, Karori, steward, head and spine injuries. Mrs. Helen White, of the' same address, head injuries. ■ Bbth wfere, taken to tlie Wellington hospital. Th'eir condition is satisfac tory. ' ' The bus was c'rowde'd and tlie suddei. stop threw the passengers violently for ward.
