' Calwell, of Otaki, regardlng the | desire of the Otaki Borough Coun- | cil to take over liis Dunstan Street property for roading purposes ,Wasl recerVed at the council's meeting on j Wednesday night. It was pointed out that the pro-j perty would give direct access* from 1 Arthur Street in a westerly direc-j t.ion should the -position arise that i a continuation of Arthur Streetmigh't be tiesirable. Councillors expressed the view i that it would be too late to take| steps if Mr. Calwell's intention toi build was proceeded with. The possibility qf future sub- ■ , division of propertieS in the local-j ity should not be lost sight of, wasj the opinion expresseti by Cr. E. J.| Cook. This view was supported by; other councillors, and it was decid-.j; to communicate with Mr. Calwell, h advising him of- the council's inten-i tion to serve notice to take theii property referred to. ;
