Personal Keitii Mills, the youngest son of Mr.- and Mrs. A. R. Mills, of Kingston Road, is shortly leaving for j Wellington where he is "to become an apprentice at the Railway workshops, Woburn. The friends of Mrs. Connolly, Plimmer, Terrace, an oid resident of this town, will learn ,*with regret that she is in veiy poor health and was last night admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital. All will join in wishing her a speedy recovery. The friends oi Mr. Terry, who has been staying with his daughter and son-in-iaw, Mr. and Mrs. W. Easton, Newtown, will regret to learn that he has found it necessary to enter the Palmerston North Hospital for treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Easton's daughter, Shirley, has recently retUrned home from hospital. Card Winners The Shannon Bowling and Croquet Ciub neld another successful card tournament Iast Thursday evening, when the prize -winners were Mesdames /indrew, Radford and A. Thomson and Messrs. R. Sands and H. Seifert. The Poutu Maori Pah Improvement Committee's card evening was again well attended on Monday evening. The winners were Mrs. W. Third and Mr. V. McEwen.
