Received Tuesda-y, 7 p.m. • LONDON, .July 13. ■ Only 24,000 German prisoners remain of 2,000,000 in Britain and they have chosen to femain as alien citizens. The last pf the prisoners left on.July 12. The commanding. officer of the last German camp to be cloled, Colonel J. F. Ashton, who fought the Germans m two wars, said: "I put German prisoners of war into three groups— thf'ee per cent. who beneftted from t^eir Btay in England and now understand democracy and the British outlook on Iife, §0 per cent. who are beginning to think there is something in democracy but are still really Nazis, and 7 7, per cent. who are out and out Nazis."
