Personal Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wright, of Puriri, Thames, are the guests of 'Mrs. J. Nairn, Iti Street, Otaki. Mrs. S. Clifford, of Te Horo, who been in hospital, returned to Trcr home during the weekend. Mrs. W. Mathie, of Rangatira Street, Otaki, who has been on holiday in Masterton, has returned to Otaki. Miss Moorea Wallington, of Mill Road, Otaki, is confined to her' bed with laryngitis. Mr. Don Wallington, of Wellington, spent last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Wallington, Mill Road, Otaki. The death occurred at Palmerston North on Saturday of Mrs. Millicent Maude Higgison, wife of Mr. Albert Howard Higgison, of Linton and late of Otaki Railway. Lorry Through Bridge • Mild excitement and not a little inconvenience was caused last Thursday when a Horowhenua County Council lorry, with a load of mstal on it, skid'ded. and went through" the decking of the bridge by Mr. H. Ahern's, Convent Road, Otaki. The only damage done was to the bridge, and residents are thankful that they now have a much improved structure in place of the rowdy one they have had to contend with for sometime past.
