Emergency Mash as Fowl Feed
AUCKLAND, July 10. The Govermuent lias agreed to -the manu'facture of an emergency standard masli for immediate distribution among poultry keepers in the Auckland province. Mr. F. G. Jackson, an Auckland meniber of the Poultry Board, stated this morning that he had been making represfentations to Cabinet members in Wellington with other members of the board to save over 500,000 birds from starvation. Producers would not have to bear the eost of the eniergeuey mash, 'saidMr. Jackson. The method by which the price would be adjusted was subject to Ministerial approval and would not be known until Mondav. Mr. Jackson said that a quantity of wheat was expected on the Lodestone due from Austrqlia on Thursday. Allpcations from the shipment, if unloaded, would relieve the position even if the Mountpark dispute were unsettled.
