Church Qdestion Box A new feature of Methodist Church life in Otaki is the holding of a question box service on the second Sunday evening of each month, when, in lieu of a sermon; questions which have been plaeed in the question box by members of the congregation are answered from the puipit. The next of tiiese services, which are proving to be very popuiar, is tc b* lield on Sun day night. Repairs To Maori Church A resolution recognising the urgency bf the project for renovat--ing the Maori Church, Rangiatea, at Otaki, was passed unanimously by the Wellington diocesan synod yesterday. Rangiatea had stood for nearly 100 years, said the Rev. W. G. William&^proposing the motion, and its construction was one' of.the most' stirring stones in Maori mission history. It would now cost about £5000 to restore the building, which was showing serious signs of decay. The Maoris had shown heir willingness to help in the work. Seconding the motion, the Rev. Paora Temuera, for the last 14 years Maori missionary at Otaki, said that Rangiatea needed urgent attention and he hop'ed that repairs would be completed by early in 1950, when its centenary would be celebrated.
