• WELLINGTON, July 9. Althoug'h it had .been rumoured in Parliament Building today that a settiement of the waterfront dispute had been reached, a statement by the Prinie Minister, Mr. Eraser, late tonighft, did not confirm this. He said: "Negotiations are still proeeeding through the Federation of Labour. No conelusive developments occurred during the day but there lias beenvan interchange of proposals between the Waterside Workers' .Union and the Govemment through the Eederation of Labour."
