Clieuag Wing Xgok, Chinese itiissioner in Wellington, at the Wellington, Diocesan Synod. 'I'lie Rev. Wliile he did not wish to raise anv political issue whieli wonld enibarrass the church, he did want to bring to the notice of Synod the urgent problenv of these nien who were living in a most unnatural and unhappy state. "The Chinese wonld be verv grateful," said the Rev. Cheung, "if the church helped thenv in that wav and their gratitude would indecd help Ihe work of the Chinese mi -sion. ' ' The rnofion was passed unanimous ly by Synod.
