ARABS RENEW FIGHTING
Reeeived Saturday, 12.6 a.m. CAIRO, July 9. A Ministry of Nation al Defence official said there was no douht that the Egyptian Army had resumed fighting. He declined to give detaiis. Arahs attacked Jews on many parts of the Palestine front, says the British United Press correspondent in Anynian. Iraiii troops, supported by one of " the heaviest artillery bombardments of the Palestine war, launched an offensive this morning against the Jew; ish eomxnunications hetween Tel Aviv and Haifa. The attack was mainly in Nathanya and the Arabs are attempting to cut the vital road between the two cities. Other Arah units moved ont of the Latrun Hills and cut the Tel Aviv- Jerusalem highway. It is helieved a third force is driving against Haifa from the north. Count Bernadotte has arrived at Amman. He met King . Ahdullah and discussed proposals for an extension of the Palestine truee. King Abdullah has made known that he :s prepared to eonsider last minute discussions with Count Bernadotte.
