That Lenard John Renkin died of ihjuries sustained when he was , thrown from the tray of a motor trucjc driyen by Leonard Lewis Close, an employee of the Manawatu Meat and Coid Storage Company, was the finding of the Dis-= trict Coroner, Mr. J. S. Moir, at the : inquest held in Levin yesterday, i Decease'd, who was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. D, Renkin, of Salisbury Street, Levin, was killed . instantly when the trqck in wlfich he was a passenger, in dompany with four ather youths, left the. Ohau East Road in the early hours of June 13, and crashed down a bank. * I At the inquest yesterday evidence was heard by the driver of the, vehicle, a passenger, Edmond Lear-i month, and Constable A. T. Kelk. Adding a rider to his finding, 'the coroner extended the sympathy of the court to the/ ' relatives of the deceased, remarking that it ha^ been a most unfortunate and regrettable occurrence.
