Ohau School Has Strong Rugby Team
Unbeaten so far this season, the Ohau School Football team defeated Levin Convent by 22 points to nil when they met at Ohau on Friday. They -have played and beaten Levin Primary School, Poroutawhao and Levin Convent teams. At the seven-a-side tournament last month, they won the A grade championshlp. . On Friday tries were scored for Ohau by Denny Davis and Bob Hammond (2 each) and Luke Kuiti and Maurice Wehipeihana (1 each), while Phillip Davis and Bil] Kuiti bpth eonverted two tries. The team comprised: Neil Drake Rpssell Munday,' Denny Davis, Bofc Hammond,- Bill Kuiti, Phillip Davis: Tara Lewis, Noel- Davis, Maurice Wehipeihana, Jim Pilgrim, Vance Whley, Bill Gould, Frank Drake Luke Kuiti and Rex. Aanensen feeserves : Arthur George and Ron Walkley. This Friday the team is to travel to Tokomaru to play a combinec Opiki-Tokomaru team. The following Friday they will meet- Foxton Convent at Foxton, and the weet after 'Shannon at Ohau.
