British Jet Engines Best In World
LONDON, July 6. British jet engines are far in advance of any other country in the world, according to Mr. Hall Hibbard, vice-president • of the American • Ldck--heed Aircraft Corporation and the Company 's chief engineer. Mr. Hibbard, speakiiig in Rome said that in jet en gine design and construction, Britain has achieved perfection which is at present lacking in American jet engines, But he added that in the construction of the fuselage for jet air craft, United^State,^ led the field. "It would be a -great thing and to our mu tuai gain," he said, "if Bri- , tain and America could get together | as they did during the war and share designs, as they did with the Mustang fighter.-"- „
