TEAM WITHDRAWS
At a meeting of the Horowhenua Hockey Association on Tuesday night, it was announced thaf the. Raukawa Men's Hockey Club ha'd | withdrawn from the competition. The reason given was that many of ■, the nlayers have decided to revert to tlieir old game of football. _ "Raukawa," said the president, | Mr. L. V. Trass, "has the makings of a good team and it is most unfortunate that it should have withdrawn when it seemed likely that there was going to be a tusslei for second place in the competi- ; tion, with Raukawa holding a good chance of securing the position."
