Successful Social Gathering
Members of the Shannon Croquet and Women's Bowling Clubs hel'd. a successful social gathering last week when the prize-winners for the flag 500 were Mesdames Andrew, Radford, K. Batt and Mr. N. Richards, and for the "date loaf" Mrs. S. Morrison. In the evening the "combined Croquet, Women's Bowlingand Men's Bowling Clubs held another most successful gathering both socially and financially, with some 44 members being present. Flag 500 was again popular with the majority and after much exciting play the prize-winners were Mesdames S. L. Graham and W. C. Hig-' gie and Messrs. J. T. Bovis and W. C. Higgie. The prizes were generously handed back to the club. The women of the clubs provided and served supper, and Mrs. M.. Parr and Mr. V. J. Bateman acted as organisers for the games.
