Mild June In Otaki

The month of June proved to be a generally mild winter month in Otaki. The total rainfall was 2.41 points and rain fell on 13 days, the highest being recorded on the 28th, when 69 points fell. Eleven frosts were recorded and the hills received a generous coating of snow on' three occasions. Fifteen quite cairn days were experienced. The rainfall for Juhe, 1947, was 8.40 inches, with 19 wet days.
