Appeal for Frogs No frogs have been received by the zoology department of Auckland University College in response to an appeal made by the department for specimens for disSection and laboratory work. One telephone inquiry was made by a city resident who had one frog' but it was explained that the department hoped to obtain larger numbers. About 200 frogs are needed. Unusual Air Search An aircraft was probably ysed for the first time in New Zealand on Sunday to look for a'cow that had been lost. A farmer, Mr. j. Wright, of Kaipaki, who is a member of the Waikato Aero Club, haa missed a valuable Jersey cow. in company with Mr. G. ' Robertson, instructor for the club, he pilotea a Tiger Moth aircraft over the farm in a search for the animal. The cow was found in a gully after a quarter of an hour's flying. New Maori House With Government help, a large memorial house to commemorate the" Mabri Battalion is to be built at Turangawaewae Pa, Ngaruawahia. It is expected to cost between £20,000 and £30,000 and it is hoped to have it re'ady to house the large number of Maoris who will gather at the Pa for the Royal visit m March. The ground has been cleared for the building and work on the foundations is about to begih,
