Personal ■ Fiight-Lieutenant and Mrs. G. Goetz have been spending a few days with the latter's f ather, Canon H. E. K. Fry at the Vicarage, Otaki. B®r. and Mrs. W. Barrowman, of Frankton, have been spending a few days with" Mr. Barrowman-s sister, Mrs. H. B". Cole, Iti Street, Otaki. Miss P. Mortiboy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R, T. Mortiboy, of Waerenga Road, Otaki, has been successful in passing the Nurses' Junior State Examination.' Mr. and Mrs. C. Eagie, who' have resided at Ohau for the past seven years, where they have given valuable help in School Committee and other work, leave in a few days' time for Paraparaumu, where the former has accepted a pos-ition. A group of shops at Wilton's Bush, near Wadestown, will be opened today by three ex-service-men seiected ffrom a large number of applicants. The Rehabilitation Department has provided a dairy, grocery and butchery, and thfe latter is under the control of Mr. L. Fannin, who for the past twelve years has followed his trade in Otaki. Marching Committee Meets Routine business was transacted at the Bandoiiers marching girls' committee meetmg at Otaki on Tuesday night, heid at the home of the secretary, Mrs. B. Wilkinson. The dance held a few weeks ago. was favourabiy commentee on, and another successful functlon is expected on July 9. It was decided to procure boots for the team, ahd the proceeds of the next dance are to be appned in this direction. It was furpher agreed that a shop day and street dispiay be held in the middle of October, and the Otaki Borough Council is to be asked to sanction this.
