Reeeived Wednesdav, 7 p.m. LOND()N, June 29. Mrs. Jfai-garet Earls, who lives at Winwick, near Warrington, surprised a man in the act of lifting her thirteen-months-old baby from its pram. When she screamed the man dropped the child and made off. A deseription of the man whieh was giyen by Mrs. Earls tallies with that of a man wanted by the police in eonnection Avith the murder of the eleven-year-old bov Jack Quentin Smith at Farnworth and the murder of the three-year-old girl June Devaney, who was removed from her cot in Blackburn Hospital -and later wras Eound dead in the hospital grounds.
