Personal Mr. Geo. Ramsbotham, of Otaki Railway, wei.l-known throughout the district as a representatlve Rugby player, . is moving to Tauranga in the near future to take up farming. Playing Good Football Ran. Jacobs and Vince Bevan, i both ex-Otaki-ites, are evidently j still playing grand football, as the ; victories scored by Varsity and Athletic respectively 011 Saturday; were, according to reports, vin no small measure due to the efforts of: these players. First Past the Post Albino, owned and tralned at Otaki by Mr. W. McEwan, was first 1 past the post in the £1000 Steeplechase at Awapuni 011 Saturday. Mr. McEwan has been the reclpient of many congratulatory messages foilowing the rapid return to form of his horse after a spell of over twelve months.
