Crockery Shortage Causing Serious Concern

WELLINGTON, June 15. Serious concern is being expressed by restaurants, -hotels, hospitals and public institutions in Wellington over 'the acute shortage of heavy duty crockery. The rnatron of a large Wellington hospital said she was forced on account of a lack of plates and utensils to oonduet meals in sittings. An hotel manager said he was forced to serve odd plates and dishes. "The position is most anomalous," said a local importer. "Health Departmen-t inspectors are condemning crockery in use in restaurants and yet these restaurants are quite unable to obtain suitable ware."
